About the Faculty

The Faculty of Health Studies (FHS) offers bachelor’s and follow-up master’s studies. For bachelor’s studies, applicants can choose between the study programs Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Pediatric Nursing, Midwifery, General Nursing, Radiological Assistant and Ambulance. Follow-up master’s studies can be completed in the programs Organization and Development of Medical Facilities and Teaching of Specialized Subjects for Medical Schools.

The Faculty of Health Studies of Jan Evangelista Purkyně University is located in a building at 13 Sociální péče, Ústí nad Labem.

Public transport details:

For transport, we recommend to use public transport, the nearest stop is „Masarykova nemocnice“. The most suitable is trolleybus line 60, or bus lines 5 and 15 – the stops on map no. 1 are marked in red circles. It is also possible to use trolleybus lines 51, 53 and 61 or bus line 7 to the „Severní Terasa“ stop, located in Mezní street – the stop is marked in green circles on map no. 1.

Except for buses 5 and 7, all the named lines arrive from the center from the „Mírové náměstí“ stop near the Main Train Station – „Hlavní nádraží“, the stations are marked on the map no. 2. On the way back to the center, lines 15 and 60 can take you right in front of the Main Train station, lines 51, 53 and 61 pass through „Mírové náměstí“ again.

University schools

The Faculty of Health Studies of Jan Evangelista Purkyně University in Ústí nad Labem cooperates with, and grants FZS university school status to high-quality secondary schools that raise non-medical health professionals. University schools are the FZS’s partners in educating their students, especially in teacher training programmes.¨
The procedure to grant the status is regulated under Dean Guideline No. 9/2020 – UJEP Ústí nad Labem Faculty of Health Studies University School Status.
On 1 December 2020, the following four secondary schools from the Ústí region historically became the first recipients of the Jan Evangelista Purkyně University in Ústí nad Labem Faculty of Health Studies University School:

• Secondary Energy and Construction Vocational School, Business Academy and Secondary Medical School, Chomutov, public-benefit corporation
• Secondary Medical School and Business Academy, Rumburk, p. o.
• Higher Vocational School of Nursing and Secondary School of Nursing, Ústí nad Labem, Palachova 35, public-benefit corporation
