Organisation and Development of Healthcare Establishments
The aim of the Organisation and Development of Healthcare Establishments programme is to prepare non-medical healthcare professionals to take up management and other roles at healthcare establishments and enhance their skills to effectively develop the healthcare sector. The studies will contribute to the development of the graduates‘ personalities, but also their ability to organise and develop healthcare establishments by giving them necessary theoretical knowledge, practical skills, teamwork habits and independent decision-making abilities in relation to the activities set out in Decree No. 55/2011 Coll., as amended. Graduates will be able to take on management roles and perform management functions at state and non-state healthcare establishments, private doctors’ offices and social, medical, nursing and rehabilitation facilities. The acquired knowledge and skills can also be put to use in the organisation of public services in the public sector and in advisory and consulting services.
Some typical examples of the job positions that will be filled by the graduates include: head nurse, ward nurse, assistant head nurse, chief laboratory assistant, chief physiotherapist and chief occupational therapist, managing director of a healthcare facility, etc.
Teaching of vocational subjects for medical schools
Graduates from the Teaching of Vocational Subjects for Medical Schools programme will acquire the ability to teach vocational subjects in the following educational areas: nursing theory, patient nursing, nursing in clinical fields, education in primary, secondary and tertiary prevention. Traineeships are organised at secondary medical schools.
The graduates will show broad and deep knowledge and understanding of the subject matter and the scope of the field corresponding to the current state-of-the-art, gaining comprehensive theoretical and practical qualifications necessary to assume the role of a teacher of vocational subjects. Graduates will be able to work at specialised workplaces as instructors or on-the-job mentors as per their professional orientation.
